My reaction to "The Last Domino?" compilation was one of pleasant surprise and total enjoyment. I waited until after I had attended the Cleveland concert on November 30 before opening and listening to it. I expected the contents to be strictly post-"A Trick Of The Tail" and got my first surprise at the Peter Gabriel vocals on "Cinema Show," "Firth Of Fifth" and "The Lamb...," among the others. My second surprise was at the crispness and clarity of the remastered/remixed pieces. I consider myself a Genesis connoiseur and totally familiar with their music, but I heard things that I had never really noticed before. A very nice job technically and, as I am a certified recording engineer, I am eminently qualified to offer that opinion. I would have liked to have perhaps a couple of takes from their pre-tour rehearsals but that's just a minor...very minor...disappointment. Now the waiting begins...I really hope that, like after the 2007 "Turn It On Again" tour, individual concerts from the tour will be forthcoming. After all, it is "The Last Domino." Excellent...thanks for a great Cleveland show and for some fantastic memories since I accidentally discovered Genesis back in the '70's (and I'm probably gonna buy the vinyl version to keep as a collectible)...and now that the last domino has fallen...
